Truecaller, the global communication and caller identification platform, has announced that it has surpassed 450 million monthly active users (MAUs) on Android — representing around 10% of the global Android smartphone user base.
This milestone highlights Truecaller’s sustained momentum in mobile user growth, cross-market adoption, and its expanding role in safeguarding everyday communications.
According to the company, its Android user base crossed the 450 million mark on October 9, reflecting an increase of approximately 50 million users since the end of 2024. Truecaller continues to see strong engagement across its core markets — including India, the Middle East and Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America — alongside rising traction in Europe and the United States.
Truecaller’s success has been largely driven by its core ability to identify incoming calls, block spam and fraudulent numbers, and enhance user safety. Beyond caller identification, the company has steadily evolved into a comprehensive communication security platform, investing heavily in AI, fraud protection, and verified business identity solutions to deliver a more trusted communication experience.
“Crossing this milestone is a proud moment for Truecaller and a reflection of the trust people place in us every day,” said Rishit Jhunjhunwala, CEO of Truecaller. “As we expand globally, we’ll keep deepening that trust through technology that makes everyday communication safer and more reliable. Adding iOS on top of these numbers means that we are approaching the next target of reaching half a billion users globally.”
With over 450 million Android users and growing, Truecaller continues to cement its position as one of the most widely adopted communication platforms globally — a trusted layer of security for billions of daily calls and messages.
