#ThisFlag is trending on Twitter as there is a call for Zimbabweans to boycott work today in solidarity for a better Zimbabwe.
This Wednesday walkout, branded #ShutdownZimbabwe on Twitter, is organised in part by Pastor Evan Mawarire, a well known Pastor in Harare, who launched a Twitter campaign #ThisFlag in April to apply pressure to the government to address the country’s economic crisis.
According to Pastor Evan live, Zimbabweans are calling for change; saying
- No to Bond notes;
- No to the Ban on Importation as there are no industries in Zimbabwe;
- No to corruption;
- No to Police road blocks
Here are some of the tweets for the work boycott today.

However it is surprising that the government has not shut down the internet to halt the dissemination of information for the boycott.
We pray that there is no violence associated with this boycott.
