As part of its Research and Innovation strategy, SENTECH has launched the #HackTheFuture challenge to encourage coders, developers, technologists, and creators to test their skills in 5G, cloud, and open computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, web, or mobile applications.
The aim of the challenge is to create an innovation that can change the media industry’s landscape. Six to eight individuals will be selected to compete and three selected individuals will win a share of R185 000.
SENTECH has partnered with Tshimologong Digital Innovation Precinct to create a Hackathon where individuals in the technology, software development, and broadcast fields can test their inventions and innovations against other competitors for the chance to win a share of the grand prize and an opportunity for future development.

How to enter
The #SENTECHHackTheFutureChallenge will choose the top three innovative individuals to split the prize money of R185 000. The event will take place from 16 – 18 November 2020.
SENTECH will also select the winning innovation, who will be provided an opportunity to develop further. Interested applicants can apply online and stand a chance to win and entries close on 10 November 2020.
