The much awaited Samsung Galaxy S 4 was unveiled yesterday March 14 (wee hours of March 15 if you are in West Africa like me). It happened as we earlier reported last month. The event took place at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.
According to Samsung in its News Release, the Samsung Galaxy S 4 is developed to redifine the way we live. “The GALAXY S 4 makes every moment of our life meaningful. It understands the value of relationships, enables true connections with friends and family, and believes in the importance of effortless experience.”
The New Galaxy S 4 is slimmer than its predecessor, the S 3 but stronger. It is made entirely of polycarbonate. It has a highly crafted design with a larger screen and battery, thin bezel, housed in a light 130g and slim 7.9mm chassis.
Some of the cool features include:
- A 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 2-megapixel forward-facing camera;
- Samsung’s DualShot, a feature which allows you to take a photo with both the front and rear camera at the same time and then combine the two together into a single photograph;
- A stunning 4.99″ Full HD (1920×1080) SuperAMOLED display. With a 441 ppi pixel density, your eyes won’t be able to distinguish the pixels, which ensures excellent visual comfort
- Smart Scroll, which means you do not have to touch the screen when you wish to scroll the pages you are viewing, a simple positioning of your eyes is enough for the page to scroll;
- Smart Pause ensures you never have to pause your videos again if you have to glance away from your phone, the Galaxy S4 will do it for you automatically and pause the video if the software detects that you are not looking at the screen
- An IR-blaster built into the phone allows it to replace your television’s remote control;
- And many more……
Check out the new features in the video below.
I am sure this beauty is a nice to have. It will be available in White Mist or Black Frost. What do you think? Which would you prefer? 🙂
