The Most-searched App Store App Is Snapchat

Snapchat will really be thankful and excited that it did not sell out to Facebook as it has been making headlines for all the right reasons.

Another feather in the cap of Snapchat is that it has become the most searched app store app (iOS and Google Playstore) according to a report by John Koetsier, a leading Mobile analyst.

Koetsier studied 500 App store keywords and the data clearly showed that Snapchat is way ahead of others in App store search volume.  This means that Snapchat is the app users are looking for most frequently.

Interestingly, Instagram and Facebook’s mobile app came second and third respectively.

Meanwhile, Google’s video platform YouTube takes the fourth spot. Teen-focused messaging startup Kik is fifth, and micro-blogging website Twitter is sixth on the list, the report said.

Snapchat says 158 million people use the app daily and create 2.5 billion snaps.
