Jaguar has unveiled its first all-electric sports car – the Jaguar I-Pace concept. The SUV was introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week.
It is thought that this will put Jaguar in direct competition with Tesla, particularly with the Model X.
The I-Pace runs off a liquid-cooled 90kWh lithium battery pack that gets 220 miles of driving on one charge. According to Jaguar executives, the vehicle will produce the equivalent of 400hp and achieve 516 pounds-feet of torque. The I‑PACE Concept is powered by two motors and goes 0-60 mph3 in around 4 seconds.
The I‑PACE Concept delivers effortless engagement through four screens conveniently positioned for the driver. The centre console contains two infotainment touchscreens, while vehicle information sits separately behind the steering wheel. A full‑color Head‑Up Display discreetly displays key information on the vehicle’s windshield.
The spacious interior and longer wheelbase of the I-PACE Concept offer luxurious legroom for 5 adults and ample, innovative storage solutions for luggage and other essentials.
It will be available as from the second half of 2018 at about $85,000
