The Interview Is The Highest Selling Film On Google’s Streaming Sites. (Updated)

The Interview is YouTube’s most Popular Right now, after being released online on December 25th through four digital channels. It has also kicked Guardians of the Galaxy as off from number one and is now the highest-selling film on Google Play and YouTube Movies.

I saw this movie yesterday and I loved it. Seth Rogen and James Franco’s controversial comedy is something you wouldn’t want to miss, trust me. There’s pretty little details of news on sales numbers as it’s not been disclosed just yet.

A lot of people who saw this movie have been calling the whole hack business a publicity stunt which was used just to boost its sales.
Well, all I can say is, whatever they did to boost sales, publicity stunt or not, it worked and and worked well… and I think this movie is possibly the best publicity stunt in history.

You can watch The Interview online at Google Play, YouTube, Xbox Video, and www.seetheinterview.com. The Interview’s digital takings were almost certainly hurt by piracy – like Torrent!

Netflix is apparently in talks with Sony to also stream the Interview but there’s still no word on sites like Apple and Amazon.

Update:The interview is now available on iTunes Store at the same price as it is on other platforms for $5.99 to rent and $14.99 to own it.
