Facebook has a total of at least 15 companies under it. Compared with Twitter’s 285 million user base, 4 of the companies owned by Facebook are bigger than Twitter. Here they are the Facebook products below:

    1. Instagram

Instagram made its announcement recently that it has 300 million users which started the comparison campaign between Twitter and Facebook companies. Instagram launched in 2012 on iOS and since then has spread to Android and Windows devices.

    1. Messenger

    Messenger

Early 2014, Facebook forced the users of its app on iOS and Android to download the stand-alone app, Messenger. Users trying to send private messages from the Facebook app are automatically redirected to the Messenger app. It is only expected that it will grow to a major app. It currently has about 500 million users, a healthy chunk of the total Facebook users.

    1. Whatsapp

Whatsapp is the biggest cross-platform messaging application. Available right from feature Java phones, to Android, iOS, Blackberry and Windows devices, it is only expected that it will have millions of users. Whatsapp is very popular in developing countries where the majority of the world’s population exists giving it a user base of 600 million.

Whatsapp was acquired by Facebook in 2014 for a mind-blowing $19 billion.

    1. Facebook itself

Easily the world’s biggest social network and the second most visited site worldwide, Facebook has an astonishing 1.5 billion users. That’s saying one-seventh of the humans are on Facebook. But as it can be seen from the list above, Facebook is more than a social network as it tries to expand itself into every aspect of lifestyle.
