The second round of applications for the EdTech Fellowship Programme has been opened by Co-Creation Hub (CcHub) and the Mastercard Foundation in Nigeria. This initiative, a US$15 million edtech accelerator, was launched in Kenya and Nigeria in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation in February 2023.
In 2023, the fellowship supported 12 startups from Nigeria and 12 from Kenya, with plans to assist a total of 36 ed-tech companies over the following two years. Now in its second year, the Nigerian iteration of the fellowship seeks new innovations from startups that can revolutionise the learning process from preschool to professional environments.
Startups that are focused on Africa, incorporated in Nigeria, and offer solutions to address challenges in K-12, formal and informal education, school management systems, tertiary education, corporate learning, or vocational skills training are eligible to apply.
The 2024 cohort of Fellows who go through the accelerator program will receive:
- Expert advisory on learning science, product development, marketing and sales, and talent management.
- Coaching and mentoring by successful founders and experts.
- Networking opportunities.
- Access to a pool of investors.
- Equity-free funding of $100,000.
Applications are open until February 17.
