Terminal Africa Teams Up with Octamile to Launch Insurance Cover for Delivery Services

Terminal Africa has teamed up with Octamile to launch insurance covers for delivery with Octamile’s embedded insurance infrastructure.

Terminal Africa was founded by brothers Nnamdi & Udi Okoh. The two initially ventured into entrepreneurship by developing websites for African SMEs, eventually leading them to create Terminal, a digital logistics platform.

Since its inception as a web application in 2021, the company has grown to serve hundreds of businesses across Africa and has helped them facilitate over 60,000 local and international shipments.

Octamile’s embedded insurance infrastructure helps Terminal Africa to seamlessly digitise easy access to goods-in-transit insurance covers from trusted underwriters to protect merchants and individuals using Terminal Africa’s platform.

Goods-in-Transit (GIT) insurance is an insurance policy that protects the insured’s goods against accidental damage or loss whilst in transit or during loading and off-loading.

Individuals and Businesses shipping delivery on Terminal Africa’s platform can now add a GIT insurance protection to cover them from financial loss arising from any unforeseen event or mishap during the freight or handling of goods at the final warehouse or point of discharge.

Octamile’s All-in-One insurance Infrastructure will also power easy access to claims handling and support to give the insured a faster and seamless claims experience.
