Telegram took to their blog to celebrate having more than 100,000,000 monthly active users. The encrypted app was launched two and the half years ago, which I still consider a start-up company, is doing pretty amazingly well and is really catching up. An application designed to allow users send messages protected by end-to-end encryption — the kind authorities can’t intercept easily? I mean, I’m surprised it’s getting this much users.
According to the post, the app gets about 350,000 new sign ups everyday and also delivers more than 15 million messages daily. Honestly, this is really impressive for a start-up.
The IM app is getting really popular by the day, despite claims of the encryption app being a preferred platform by terror groups for its followers to use but CEO Pavel Durov is keen to point out that most of the 100 million users are ordinary people. Guess there’s no stopping the company’s success and kudos to them on such amazing growth.
