Telecom Egypt, the foremost telecommunications provider in Egypt, has forged a strategic alliance with Huawei Cloud to launch Huawei’s inaugural public cloud platform based in Egypt. This initiative is aimed at propelling the nation’s digital transformation agenda forward.
According to reports, Telecom Egypt’s data centers will serve as the host for the new public cloud platform, which is poised to extend its reach to over 60 countries worldwide. This global connectivity will be facilitated by Telecom Egypt’s extensive network of over 14 submarine cable systems, a number that is projected to increase to 18 by the year 2025.
The partnership aligns with Telecom Egypt’s overarching strategy to position Egypt as a leading regional hub for cloud computing and digital services. By leveraging its robust network infrastructure and industry expertise, Telecom Egypt plans to seamlessly integrate Huawei Cloud solutions into the existing technological landscape, ensuring a smooth transition and effective management of the new services.
Huawei Cloud touts a comprehensive suite of scenario-based solutions and over 240 advanced professional services. These offerings encompass the entire spectrum of cloud engagement, including the construction, migration, utilization, and management of cloud resources, catering to the diverse needs of businesses looking to harness the power of cloud computing.
