The flagship camera phone that you all have been waiting for is finally here. The phone promises to beat your imagination when it comes to photography and TECNO says it’s the best selfie camera phone “ever”. That is a very bold claim.
We got a unit of the device and is the sandstone black, it’s beautiful and elegant.
TECNO Camon series of smartphones are camera centric, and Camon C9 will be the third device that has been released under this category—the previous ones are the Camon C5 and the very amazing and popular Camon C8.
So let’s go straight to the unboxing of the phone
This is the box that houses the device, more revamped with Camon C9 written on it
The black box clearly tells us that the device is all about camera. The logo symbolises a camera lens. Look closely.

First Impressions
The camera placement at the centre of the phone is really perfectly placed ensuring users get the best result from their selfies. Skype calls will be more real using this front facing camera and Snapchat fans can rejoice at the amazing F 2.0 aperture size that lets in more light.
I love the dedicated camera shutter—it means I have more than one way to shoot photos. I am looking forward to comparing using the shutter button vs using the on-screen shutter option.
One question the phone seems to answer from the brand message of TECNO is that this phone has amazing photographic ability. I will try it side by side with the iPhone 6s in a separate review. Watch out for that—especially as TECNO claim the aperture size lets it take better picture than the iPhone 6s that spots aperture size of 2.2.
