One month with the Tecno Camon C7 – A User Review

I strolled into one of the retail outlets to pick up a Camon C9, but then, I was met with the C7. I instantly loved it especially because I love 5-inch phones.

While I was still sceptical about whether or not to trade my Camon C9 for it, I went straight to Google. Trust Google to give me a truck load of all the information I need. Reviews had it that all the specification I loved on the C9 was present on the C7, so I went straight for it.

The camera is Bae

The Camon C7 is the first phone that has genuinely allowed me to leave the DSLR at home when I’m travelling. It obviously does not have the same lens magic as my Canon, but its portability, f/2.0 aperture size, 5P optical lens, and its quick connection to the internet are enough reasons I can comfortable travel without my Canon, unless of course I am doing a professional photoshoot.

The device is especially good in low light conditions and the camera being placed in the middle stabilizes the image as well as create room for straight shots without bend. 

Selfie game on fleek

Camon C7 has all it takes to make you slay in a picture, so if you are not slaying, it’s totally on you. Be it at night or in the sunniest days, the 5P optical lens and the f/2.2 aperture of the front camera has been designed to control light in the tightest ways. If I can slay the picture below at night, you have no excuse for a daylight slay mode.

The dedicated camera shutter button

This is definitely another feature I love on the Camon C7. I especially love it because I can take pictures very extremely easily with my tiny fingers. Another amazing thing is that it is a way for me to take spy pictures. With my hand on the dedicated shutter button, you would never know I’m taking pictures of you; yes you.

The button is not just there for comfortability of taking pictures, it serves as a quick launch to the camera. By long pressing it, the camera is launched. By double pressing it, the camera is launched and a picture is taken immediately. It focuses at 0.1 second and it takes a very sharp image. Who wouldn’t love the C7.

The beauty plus version 2.0 is extra lit

I had used my C7 for 3 days already until I stumbled on the beauty plus feature on it. I saw a picture which I really liked then I clicked on a red coloured symbol which is just beneath every picture. That action took me straight to the beauty plus feature on the device.

Camon C7 has the latest beauty plus version and you can get at least 8 makeup styles from the amazing technology. After you have launched the beauty plus feature, you are met with options of using the recommended beauty styles, or you manually do the retouching.

The Iris scanner

To a great extent, the Camon C7 eye scanner works perfectly. The scanning experience feels like a decade- old spy movie, making you want to pull off a James Bond move. Here’s the gist; AS LONG AS YOU GET IT RIGHT, it works extra fast. I’m saying this because there are times the eye scanner does not work for me, and this is either because I have a contact lens on (especially if I did not register with a contact lens on), or when I have my glasses on, or when I am in an environment that has a totally different light from when I registered it. The good thing however is that; you get to use a password when the eye scanner fails to respond.

Another important point to note is that you can register at 5 different identities on the scanner. In that case, you are not the only one that gets to unlock it. You have to login to the eye scanner with a passcode, so you have no fear of another person invading your privacy.

MICRO INTELLIGENCE; the ‘fleekest’ of them all

This one just makes me want to unlock my phone every time. Having to make unique gestures to launch an application gets me wowed. I do that every single time I need to show off.

The Micro Intelligence has 7 intelligent features; trust me, they are breath taking. I will only talk about the quick start function, you should check out the remaining six yourself.

Quick start

The Camon C7 has an amazing quick launch feature which makes navigation and use easier. All a user need do is use his finger to form an alphabetic shape i.e W for whatsapp, M for Boom player or C for camera. This can only be effective if the command has been configured in the micro intelligence section of the settings.

Despite the fact that the Camon C7 is to die for, my only concern is that it has no screen notification option. Once your phone is locked, you cannot see your notifications unless you unlock and slide down. Some people however love the idea of not being able to see your notification on the lock screen because it makes their information private, it just does not cut out for me.

Camon C7 is very affordable in every sense, it is one of the most secured devices produced this season and it is very portable. Please share your own experiences in the comment box below.
