Tech Enthusiasts in Nigeria are invited to be a part of the 2019 edition of NITEXA, an event which seeks to connect stakeholders in the Nigerian tech and startup ecosystem.
Nigerian Technology Innovations Exhibitions and Awards (NITIEXA) is an initiative of the Young Innovators of Nigeria (YIN) in partnership with IEEE Nigeria and Action For Industry (AFI). YIN is a social organization with the mandate to bridge the skills and entrepreneurial gap among Nigerian youths.
Also, NTIEXA 2019, which is the first edition, aims to set a clearer agenda towards the practical actualization of Goals 1, 2, 5, 8 & 17 of the sustainable development goals leveraging on technology applications in the development of affected sectors, a catalyst to achieve the current administration’s diversification program and also create digital and technology jobs for the current generation. NTIEXA 2019 aims to bring key players of the Nigerian Innovation Ecosystem together to share experiences, identify challenges and propose strategies for using technology-enabled Innovation and entrepreneurship to diversify the economy and create digital jobs in the country. It will also provide a veritable platform for investors and stakeholders in the technology ecosystem to explore other sectors in the economy where technology can be applied for development.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
- To recognize key players in the ICT sector and those who have, and are using technology to drive the SDG’s.
- To unveil Startups who are leveraging on technology to solve problems especially as it relates to the SDG’s .
- To increase awareness on SDG’s and provide a platform where stakeholders can strategize on ways in which we can leverage technology to drive these goals.
