A team led by Nnamdi Christopher Iroaganachi has emerged overall winner of the maiden edition of TotalWennovation Hack 1.0 which is a hackathon sponsored by Total Nigeria Plc and Wennovation Hub.
Team Nnambdi led other teams which included first runner-up, Team Jaja (led by Jaja Vincent Tamunomi), second runner-up, Team Ikponmwosa (led by Ikponmwosa Ogbeide) and the third runner-up was Team Ani (led by Ani Isaac Ugochukwu).
Organizers said the hackathon attracted developers and innovators from across the country. It witnessed computer programmers and others involved in software development, collaborate intensively to build software solutions to defined problem statements by Total Nigeria Plc.
The four winning teams won prizes of $1000, $500, $250 and $250 respectively; furthermore, Total Nigeria Plc and Wennovation Hub would decide to award further development grants to the winning team if found capable after reviewing their solutions.
Organizers said: “TotalWennovationHack1.0 is the pilot phase of a long-term project to create innovation, impact and service. The objective is to harness innovative technological solutions to pre-defined problem statements, with the purpose of creating a sustainable platform for innovative growth as well as improving business productivity and profitability. This collaboration clearly depicts Total Nigeria Plc’s dedication to continuous improvement, an identity that sets it apart in the global energy industry.
