The city of Kigali has been rolling out smart busses that offer Wi-Fi and a cashless payment system. CNN’s Eleni Giokos went there to test them out.
Not only do you get Wi-Fi, it is apparently 4G. You also use Tap and Go cards to pay the bus fare thereby reducing queueing time. This cashless system of payment was made possible by a 25 year old entrepreneur, Partick Buchana of AC Group.
