Online supermarket and grocery delivery service, today announced its second anniversary of the company and the launch of a local recipe database.

Supermart.ng allows customers shop for groceries from leading supermarkets, including Spar, Park ‘n’ Shop, 9-7, Chi-Shoppe, Medplus, Office Everything, Mega Plaza, as well as the local markets.

Supermart.ng is helping busy professionals and home-makers to shop more conveniently for their groceries and everyday essentials. With over 70,000 items, Supermart has the largest assortment of groceries in Lagos from Local Ingredients like Kpomo, Efo, Kpanla, Iru, Garri; Fresh fruits & veggies like Banana, Mango, Agbalumo etc; Meat & Poultry like Chicken, Snails, Catfish, Goat Meat; Alcohols, Dispenser Water, Toiletries, Baby diapers & food; and basically grocery or essential you need at home or in the office.

“Supermart.ng delivers across Lagos in 3 hours, helping Lagosians have a more convenient existence by taking the stress of grocery shopping amidst the heavy traffic, fuel scarcity, long wait time and multiple shops they have to stop at. Customers easily save up to 6 hours a week,” the company said in a statement.

The Supermart.ng recipe database which is expected to go live later this month has the largest recipe database in Nigeria, with different categories, from Nigerian recipes, baby recipes to deserts and lots more. These recipes have been put together by Supermart chefs in collaboration with other top chefs in the country. Readers can also have their own personal recipes uploaded to the platform. Attached to every recipe will be an ‘Add to cart’ option which enables readers to purchase ingredients used in preparing a particular recipe.

To celebrate its second year anniversary, Supermart.ng is hosting a monthly Supermart Speaker Series which features leading business leaders and entrepreneurs who will discuss their business experience with the audience. Earlier this month, one of such speakers was Mrs. Omobola Johnson, who spoke about her time as the minister of ICT and her passion for growing the ICT industry in Nigeria and Africa.
