Vainglory is a popular game among smartphone gamers. Its developers, Super Evil Megacorp, launched the multiplayer online battle arena game in 2015, and now it is gearing ready to introduce Catalyst Black, a new triple-A battleground game for iOS and Android.
Super Evil Megacorp has been working on Catalyst Black for some time now. Indeed, if you saw last September’s iPhone 13 event, there was a brief demonstration of the game during the A15 Bionic chip and ProMotion display part.
According to the developers, Catalyst Black’s aim is to provide a “new world of epic combat” filled with strong guns, customisable powers, and “mystical primals from another planet.” The game, which is powered by the company’s proprietary engine known as “E.V.I.L.,” includes superior graphics and is compatible with a wide number of devices.
Catalyst Black’s free-to-play business strategy allows gamers to collect, upgrade, and personalise items to enrich their gaming experience.
At debut, there will be over 30 unique weaponry and 12 unique abilities, with more to follow in future releases. The game is noted for the gamer’s ability to develop hunting and long-range shooting skills.
Catalyst Black features a variety of game styles. Players can face other players and a large boss in Hydra mode. In Slayer mode, you must defeat foes in order to earn points and eventually win. Additionally, there is an Eventide mode for squabbling over control of an ancient fortress. Users can join teams ranging from 5v5 to 12v12.
The game can be played with either a game controller or a touch screen, depending on your preference. To save battery life, players can choose to downgrade the graphics quality, and they can even enable a 120 FPS mode for iOS devices at first.
Catalyst Black will be available on May 25 for iOS and Android. Players interested in pre-registering for the game’s release can do so here.
