Nigeria’s startup capital city of Lagos is set to host StartINVAfrica, an exhibition that was birthed from the desire to introduce new ideas and showcase new businesses to more than 600+ attendees consisting of investors, industry leaders, delegates and stakeholders.
The exhibition will hold from 17th to 18th December 2015.
According to the organizers, there have been several layoffs in the last quarter of the year especially in the oil and gas, banking and finance, and telecoms sectors.
“It has made it expedient to bring senior delegates and speakers from within and outside Nigeria to join the talent conversation featuring keynote and speed mentoring sessions, quick pitches, master classes laced with fun and business networking,” said Uanikhehi Ized, Founder of StartINV Africa.
StartINV aims to reach out to small businesses in all sectors of the economy – agric and allied businesses, fashion and commerce, manufacturing and so on.
To participate, interested entrepreneurs and SMEs should log onto the exhibition’s website and register their businesses.
“Provision is being set in place to ensure business documents and activities of all SMEs participating are authenticated to help give them a fair chance to qualify to have individuals or corporate organizations invest in their ideas,” said Ized.
The exhibition will be held at 5-7 Gbagada Expressway, Opposite Mobil Filling Station, Gbagada, Lagos.
