Stanbic IBTC Bank, one of Nigeria’s major commercial banks is currently giving users of its mobile platform free 5% bonus on any airtime recharge made via its mobile platform.
In an exclusive interview with Innovation Village, Olugbenga Agboola, Product Manager, Mobile Platform, Stanbic IBTC Bank said the bonus is to encourage more individuals to adopt and use the mobile platform.
“We are trying to get more people access to easy services; we are also giving them incentives to use the platform. One of such is the 5% bonus we are giving to those that are recharging their lines using our mobile platforms. That will also increase the rate of adoption,” he said.
He also told Innovation Village that the bank has the most secure online platform in the country, this he said is in line with the guidelines of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
“We have the best security in the industry because we have experts who man our platforms daily. There is no downtime on our platform,” he said.
