Spiro, recognized as Africa’s largest electric vehicle company, has announced an exciting partnership with Afrobeats superstar Davido. This collaboration merges Spiro’s commitment to sustainable transportation with Davido’s significant influence as one of Africa’s most celebrated cultural icons.

The primary goal of this partnership is to promote the potential of clean energy while encouraging Africans to adopt electric mobility. By working together, Spiro and Davido aim to illuminate the possibilities that clean energy presents and inspire a broader acceptance of electric vehicles across the continent.

Davido, renowned for his global hits such as “Unavailable” and “Assurance,” expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing its potential to drive meaningful change. He stated, “I’ve always believed in using my platform to uplift my fans and community. Partnering with Spiro feels right; switching to electric saves money, protects our planet, and honestly, it’s fresh. Together, we’re bringing new energy to Africa.” His commitment to leveraging his influence for positive impact resonates deeply with the objectives of this partnership.

Kaushik Burman, CEO of Spiro, echoed Davido’s sentiments, highlighting the alignment between the artist’s values and the company’s vision. “Davido embodies African excellence; he is bold, innovative, and globally admired. As we work to expand electric mobility across Africa, his influence will play a crucial role in inspiring millions to join this movement,” Burman remarked.

Spiro is actively transforming the mobility landscape across Africa. With over 22,000 electric bikes currently on the roads and more than 300 million kilometers traveled emission-free in countries such as Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, and Rwanda, Spiro is making electric bikes increasingly accessible to the public. The company’s innovative battery-swapping technology allows riders to easily and safely exchange batteries at designated stations, enhancing the convenience of electric mobility.

This partnership also coincides with the upcoming release of Davido’s highly anticipated album, “5IVE,” which is set to debut in early 2025. To maximize the impact of this collaboration, Davido’s creative director, Kayode “Tycoone” Umardeen, will work closely with Spiro’s team to develop impactful campaigns that highlight the synergy between innovation and culture.

Together, Spiro and Davido are poised to make a significant impact on the promotion of electric mobility in Africa, fostering a movement that not only champions sustainable transportation but also resonates with the continent’s vibrant cultural landscape.
