Spacefinish selected to design and build Twitter head office in Ghana

Spacefinish, a Nigerian innovative workspace solutions company, announced that it has been selected to design and build Twitter’s head office in Ghana.

Though Twitter did not build its head office in Nigeria, a Nigerian company was called upon to design and build the office. As you might remember this raised a lot of social media dust when Jack Dorsey announced in 2021 that Twitter had chosen Ghana to set up its first African Presence.

This announcement was made by Remi Dada, the CEO of Spacefinish. According to him, the journey began in November 2019 when he hosted Jack Dorsey, former Twitter CEO for a tour of the Andela office that Spacefinish built also. He said that Jack and the Twitter team were impressed by what they did at Andela.

Spacefinish has been instrumental in building creative workspaces and offices in Nigeria including Google’s first African Developers Space in Lagos, Nigeria.

According to the company, it will keep in mind the need to be original and true to its African roots.

“Our rich history and heritage provide a wealth of inspiration, and we are working hard to ensure that our Spacefinish touch brings all these concepts to life.”

The company will also need to take into consideration the future of work which is something that has been on a lot people’s minds. The workplace, as we know it, has evolved: with rapid changes in technology and the way we do business.

“One of the biggest trends we’re seeing is the move towards hybrid working arrangements. For Twitter, as they expand across Africa, this shift presents both challenges and opportunities. On the one hand, they need to ensure that their employees have the right tools and support to be productive when working from home. On the other hand, they need to design their office spaces to accommodate collaboration and community building. “

“The good news is that Twitter will be working with our dedicated researchers at Spacefinish. By leveraging our insights, we will create a future-proof workplace that meets the needs of Twitter’s employees and supports their growth strategy,” Remi adds.

Founded by Remi Dada, an ex-Googler, Spacefinish provides agile workspace solutions across Africa that boosts productivity, innovation and collaboration.
