Spaceba is Making it Easy for Lagosians to Access and Book Work Spaces

With remote work getting more and more popular, it’s become normal to see young Nigerians hunting for work spaces. Searching for the perfect work space that would fit a need is usually time consuming, and Spaceba is making it easy.

Founded by Taiwo Akinseye and Kehinde Shogbanmu on January 9, 2017, Spaceba is an online marketplace for office, work and meeting spaces. Listed on the platform is a variety of work and meeting spaces around Lagos Nigeria.

Available spaces on the platform are sorted based on use, making it easy and faster for users to search for spaces that are perfect for their need. Categories include meeting, work, event, photoshoot, conference, product launch, workshop, training and art exhibition. These spaces are then listed along with their rates per hour, day, month and year.

Spaceba also allows those with vacant spaces to make money with their property by listing it on the platform.

There’s also Hora by Spaceba, a subscription-based service that allows entrepreneurs, freelancer, digital nomads and growing teams to subscribe with any amount, access workspaces from anywhere and get charged based on usage.

Through this service, you can walk into any coworking space in Lagos once you’re subscribed to the service. Although, the coworking space must listed be in Spaceba’s network. Payment for Hora is done based on credit points, calculated per hour and then deducted from users credit wallet. In the case when a user doesn’t finish up their credit balance within a month, it can be rolled over to the next month.

Spaceba is not the first to offer this service, as BuffrSpace and a few others. But its extra offerings is sure to give the startup an edge.
