Hepstar, A startup based in Cape Town, South Africa and Nigeria’s Flutterwave have been chosen to participate in Plug & Play Accelerator Program, the biggest accelerator program in the world.
Hepstar and Flutterwave are among the top 175 startups selected for the program which received more than 1,000 entries from different parts of the globe. The startups that applied had a solid background in areas including personalisation, e-merchandising strategies, data analytics and machine-learning fuels.
“In regards to new modes of distribution for the travel insurance market, Hepstar’s strategy may be exactly the answer carriers and airlines are looking for,” said Kevin Wang, Head of Travel for Plug and Play Ventures. “Hepstar’s insurance products offer highly specific travel coverage which captures ancillary revenue for our travel partners.”
