Stitch, a South African company specializing in payments infrastructure, is set to organize its third annual Scale Summit on Thursday, October 3, in Johannesburg. This year’s summit will focus on “The Year of the Consumer,” highlighting the evolving dynamics of consumer engagement in the digital marketplace.
Launched in February 2021, Stitch has established itself as a facilitator for business growth and operational efficiency. The company provides a payments API and a suite of tools designed to simplify the integration of businesses into the financial ecosystem, enhancing user experiences across various sectors.
Following its recent US$25 million Series A extension round, Stitch has accumulated a total of US$52 million in funding. This financial backing has enabled the company to broaden its offerings, positioning itself as a comprehensive payments service provider. Stitch inaugurated its first Scale Summit in 2022 and followed up with a second event the subsequent year. The upcoming third summit in October continues this tradition.
Thea Sokolowski, the head of marketing and communications at Stitch, commented on the significance of the event: “South African consumers are increasingly active in online commerce and demand smooth, captivating interactions. At our third annual Scale Summit, we aim to delve into the current South African consumer psyche and discuss strategies for brands to effectively connect with and captivate their audience. We will also examine the impact of payment innovations on attracting and retaining customers.”
The Stitch team will partner with AB InBev for the event, which will be held at The Venue Melrose Arch. It is free for attendees, but space is limited. Guests can express interest in joining here and view the agenda and speakers here.
