As the CEO and co-founder of React24, a company offering all site services, built environment trades, and disciplines, South African female entrepreneur, Celeste Margo Le Roux has made a name for herself in the male-dominated built environment and construction industry after scooping the prestigious title of Standard Bank Top Woman Entrepreneur for 2020.
Le Roux comments on receiving the acclaimed award.
“I am so extremely proud to be a part of these prestigious awards and the reality is that I could not achieve such success on my own. I would like to express how profoundly grateful I am to my amazing team at React24. Our success is because of their hard work, their daily excellence, and their dedication to our purpose.”
The award recognises women in various industries that face gender discrimination. It praises the traits and talent of female entrepreneurs that are breaking stereotypes and creating a space for themselves in male-dominated industries. It aims to honour women with an impeccable level of leadership while creating new employment opportunities for women, creating female empowerment in various industries.
Karla Fletcher, head of marketing at Topco Media, comments on the importance of the award.
“We believe that now more than ever, it is crucial to recognise the companies and individuals such as Celeste Margo Le Roux who are making impactful change for gender empowerment in South Africa.”
With many local SMMEs struggling from the impacts of Covid-19, the award is a nod to the power that working together as a community can have on the country and society at large. Le Roux concludes that her success is an attribution to the talented team at React24.
“This award is a culmination of our diligence at React24 and proof that we are on the right path. It means so much because it reflects what the team has achieved, and it is just as much a celebration of them as it is of me.”
