Sony has announced that its PlayStation 5 event will now take place on June 11th at 4 PM ET.
The company had initially scheduled the showcase for June 4th but had to postpone due to the widespread anti-racism protest. Sony confirmed the new date after it had first appeared in Twitch ads.
Sony giving an insight into the event said it would showcase more than an hour’s worth of PS5 games but didn’t say if it would show off the console itself for the first time as well. So far the company has only given details about the PS5’s specs and revealed the DualSense controller.
In any case, you can get your eyes on Sony’s vision for the future of gaming by catching the stream on Twitch or YouTube on Thursday.
Sony isn’t the only publisher to delay events and game updates over the last week or so for similar reasons.
