Sony, an official sponsor of the FIFA World cup 2014 has put together a nice little theme for Sony Xperia devices designed with the World Cup in mind. While the theme was leaked in its entirety last month, it is now officially available for download in the Play Store. The theme features a green on yellow color scheme and has a football icon for the app drawer.
The Xperia Z2 was designated as the official smartphone of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. To celebrate the occasion, Sony has released a video highlighting the display of the Xperia Z2, which it says will allow you to “feel every detail wherever you are.” Sony is also running a Football Challenge contest for Xperia owners through which you can win prizes by predicting results of various matches. You can participate through the Xperia Lounge app which can also be downloaded from the Play Store. The theme even applies a 2014 FIFA World Cup wallpaper for the homescreen with a view looking down field from behind the goal. Staring that the homescreen could almost make you feel like you’re there.
Out of everybody that enters, they will pick the top 100 entrants and give them a prize. The top 10 entrants will get a Sony Xperia Z2 in their prize pack along with a few other items(varied by what tier the winner falls into), and the grand prize winner will not only get a Sony Xperia Z2, but also a Sony Xperia Z2 tablet, a Sony Playstation 4, a Sony QX100, a Sony SmartBand SRW10 and a VIP trip to Morocco. Interesting right?
