Over the years, Snapchat has become the go-to multimedia mobile application. With the app delivering more than 8 billion videos to users every day, it is now one of the most popular video sharing apps in the world.
But, how is Snapchat repaying its loyal users? It’s by showing more adverts four years after it was launched in 2011.
The main change for users is that ads will start to appear between your friends’ stories and it will be full screen with sound. Thankfully, these ads can be skipped, and won’t be inserted into the stories themselves, but will occasionally appear when you navigate from one story to the next.
This additional advert is inevitable as it is to guarantee that the company reached its projections. It hopes to reach between $250 million and $350 million in 2016 and then rising to between $500 million and $1 billion in 2017 in revenue.
