Smile Commnications Nig. Ltd, a broadband internet service provider has just introduced the 4G (4th Generation) Long-Term Evolution broadband Internet in Abuja. 4G, short for fourth generation, is the fourth generation of mobile telecommnications technology, succeeding 3G and preceding 5G. According to him, Smile’s Nigerian customers are already experiencing global standard speed and quality. “Our customers will experience average speeds in excess of 6Mbps, and some customers are already running at average speeds in excess of 20Mbps, which is substantially faster than the speed that can be achieved in other parts of the world, including the United Kingdom,” he said.
Other active Broadband companies also delivering the 4G network include Swift Networks Ltd, Spectranet Ltd and Cobranet Ltd.
