Should You Buy the Tecno Spark4 ?

We have AI assisted mobile phone features; we have foldable phones. I mean It’s 2019 and it does look like the phone companies can do very little to impress us. Well, save for being able to eat right out of my favourite food blog and I know that is an unreachable goal, I may have to reiterate that I may be one of the unimpressed lots.

Despite my cynicism, I still hold some hope out anytime a new model of phone is released. Certain things hold my attention like the design, improved camera capabilities, improved storage, long lasting batteries and most importantly affordability.

Hello! I am in a third world country; I like good things that I wouldn’t rob the bank for. In other words, an affordable phone with great features have my heart.

Given how important it is to me to share valuable information, I am sharing the top reasons why I think the Tecno Spark4 should be on your to buy list if you are also driven by the need to get value for money spent.

The Camera: The Spark 4 spots a triple rear Camera set of 13MP which is the main camera +2MP that gives pictures taken more depth +an AI camera. I took some pictures like the one taken in my favourite coffee shop below with the back camera.

 I especially love the Bokeh mode courtesy of the 2MP rear camera which in my opinion gives the pictures taken more life. The front camera is 8MP with features such as the AI Beauty Mode, Portrait Mode, in-built AR Stickers, Wide-Selfie Mode, more. So, what can possibly go wrong with your selfies? Your reputation on the gram stays solid with this camera in charge of your images. Seriously though, the selfies are decent.

Battery: It takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes to go from a zero charge to full charge and it can last about a day and hour on basic use. It is worthy of note that the Tecno Spark 4 is a loaded phone with features such as the face recognition/unlock, fingerprint censor, a wider screen- 6.52-inch HD dot notch display that makes watching movies and mobile gaming more fun. Given these features, a 4000mAH battery makes sure you are not left high and dry. It is also a well improved version coming on the heels of Spark 3 which only had 3500mAH battery.

Storage: The Standard Spark 4 comes with a 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM storage. The ROM is expandable to 128GB. While a 128GB ROM is good storage, 2GB RAM is not as exciting but I guess it is a feature you can forgive given the price of the phone.

Bonus Features: The quick navigation on the side screen makes it easy to access my favourite apps without going through the rigours of app search every time. There is also a quick launch button for the camera when the phone is locked.

 I also especially love that the phone sells for just 34,500naira and the after sales support is top notch with a warranty card of 13months enclosed in a new pack when device is purchased from authorized dealer. It is worthy of note that the phone is supported by Android 9.0 (Pie) and HiOS 5.0. Oh ! by the way, it is dual sim too.
