Speaking about #SheHiveAbuja, She Leads Africa co-founder Afua Osei said: “We designed #SheHiveAbuja to give our community members, or #MotherlandMoguls as we call them, 360-degree support in their lives as professional women. They will be able to learn hard skills such as:

    • Negotiating
    • Marketing especially social media marketing
    • Creating a pitch deck
    • Pitching to investors
    • Rising up the corporate ladder
    • Building a career in finance
    • Business development
    • Networking
    • Goal setting

However, we also have sessions that cover lifestyle issues such as our Health & Wellness session, designed to teach attendees how to stay mentally and physically healthy as they develop their careers. We even have a professional Style and Beauty Night to cover fashion and makeup in the workplace. This session will be hosted by Adama Indimi in partnership with Fashpa, Jide of St.Ola and Skin 101, Abuja.”

Attendees of SheHiveAbuja will even enjoy discounted services from partner organizations including:

    • Cervical screening and breast cancer kits courtesy of Medicaid Cancer Foundation (Founded by Dr. Zainab Bagudu, First Lady Kebbi State).
    • Skin care treatments courtesy of Skin 101, Abuja

#SheHiveAbuja is part of the SheHive Tour which will take the bootcamp to several cities in 2016 including London, New York, Nairobi and Johannesburg . Previous editions have been held in Lagos (September 2015 – video here) and Accra (January 2016 – photos here). Former participants have described it as a life changing experience. One participant described how implementing a marketing technique she learnt at SheHiveAccra helped her close a sales lead the very next day.

Tickets for SheHiveAccra are quickly selling out and so interested participants are encouraged to secure their spots as soon as possible. Tickets range from N7,500 for a day pass to N15,000 for a weekend pass to N80,000 for an all-access pass that includes access to all weekend session plus an additional 2 day of training with SLA’s co-founders in a small and intimate setting.
