    ScholarX to support the Onboarding of Primary and Secondary School Students to the Digital Skills Initiative Lagos Program

    The Lagos State government through the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education (OSAE); in partnership with LoftyInc Allied Partners Limited, Advent Management Solutions Limited announced the launch of the first phase of its Digital Skills Initiative Lagos program, aimed to strategically train and equip young Lagos primary and secondary school students (ages 8 -16) with valuable digital skills from an early age.

    ScholarX, an Education Technology Startup based in Lagos focused on bridging the access to education and skills training gap; will be supporting the project by facilitating the registration of students across all Six districts in the state. ScholarX will also ensure and their engagement on the virtual learning platform.

    In the DSILagos program, students will learn digital skills from Scratch.mit.edu and Code.org that cuts across basic programming, introduction to creative programing, Arts, Storytelling, and Games.

    Final project

     Students are required to develop an independent project by defining a idea to work on, and present the project and its development process. Details will be included in the confirmation email received after registration

    Bola Lawal, Co-founder and CEO of ScholarX commented of this development,  “ScholarX is very excited to support this brilliant initiative by the Lagos state government as it aligns well with our goal of democratizing access 21st century skills for students at all levels. I employ parents in the state to ensure that their child(ren) are registered on the dedicated website: www.dsilagos.ng/district”

    So far, ScholarX has facilitated the registration of close to 20,000 students. This week, the team was at Ayeteju village, Ibeju Lekki to conduct a registration drive and sensitize them on the @dsilagos initiative
