Schneider Electric Kenya, a global leader in energy management and automation, has officially named Ifeanyi Odoh as its new Country President, effective February 2024. The announcement comes as part of a strategic move to leverage Odoh’s expertise in driving sustainable growth and innovation in the business.
Ifeanyi Odoh brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as the Strategy and Transformation Leader for Schneider Electric in South East Asia, overseeing Vietnam and Cambodia. During his tenure in Vietnam, he played a pivotal role in implementing transformational initiatives, including the introduction of products like e-Mobility and Energy as-a-Service, contributing significantly to the business’s success.
Prior to his role in South East Asia, Ifeanyi served as the Head of Offer Marketing & Business Development in Anglophone West Africa. In this capacity, he led and executed commercial actions and go-to-market strategies for Schneider Electric’s products, software, and services in the region. His career with Schneider Electric began in France as a Research Engineer in the Strategy and Innovation department.
Devan Pillay, the Anglophone Africa Cluster President at Schneider Electric, expressed enthusiasm about Ifeanyi’s appointment, describing him as a visionary strategist and transformational leader. The company aims to leverage Ifeanyi’s insights into the New Energy Landscape to unlock new opportunities in the East African region.
The outgoing Country President, Carol Koech, will be assuming a new role leading Sustainability Strategy for Schneider Electric in International Operations, involving a relocation to Dubai. Devan Pillay acknowledged Koech’s significant contributions during her three-year tenure, citing her leadership in streamlining operational excellence and positioning the company for its next phase of growth.
