The Ice Bucket Challenge is one initiative that has gone viral with so many celebrities taking part in it. Even the likes of Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg were not left out of it.

Samsung seems to have joined the Challenge in an unusual way  as it has chosen the S5 to do the Ice Bucket Challenge on its behalf. It has also nominated Apple, HTC and Nokia phones to do the same.

Now some people may think that Samsung is taking advantage of this viral initiative to market its products but others may argue that at least this will help raise awareness of the ALS Association

As of today, Sunday, August 24, The ALS Association announced that it has received $70.2 million in donations compared to $2.5 million during the same time period last year (July 29 to August 24)

Watch the video below and tell us what you think.
