Samsung has released the Android 10 update for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus. The update is rolling out in Germany and in the US for those using the S9 or S9+ on Xfinity Mobile. It’s worth noting that the update is currently out for those who are on Android Pie.
The S9 series initially launched with Android Oreo, making this the third major Android version available for the two phones. They were previously updated to Android Pie in late 2018 and early 2019.
The Android 10 update for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ is between 1.8GB to 1.9GB in size and can be downloaded over the air from the phone’s Settings » Software update menu.
It is worth noting that the Mobile phone giant has rolled out Android 10 updates for last year’s Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, S10E, Note 10, and Note 10 Plus phones, as well as 2018’s Galaxy Note 9.
For now, the Galaxy Fold has not been mentioned but reports say that Samsung is planning to release an Android 10 update for it sometime in April.
