South Korean technology giant, Samsung, is planning to commence and initial production of 5 million of its upcoming Galaxy S7 smartphones.

According to a report from South Korea’s electronic times monitored by Reuters, Samsung will be launching two new versions of its flagship smartphone -a 5.2-inch flat-screen Samsung Galaxy S7 and a 5.5-inch, curved-screen Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.

The electronics giant plans to initially make 3.3 million of the flat-screen devices and around 1.6 million of the curved-screen version, the report said, with plans to launch the handset in February.

Samsung Electronics has not commented on the report yet.
