Samsung announced today the launch of two neW 4K monitors with AMD’s freesync technology. Samsung unveiled this new monitors, the U24E590D and U28E590D, at its Future of Compute event with the sales of U28E590D starting today while the U24E590D will go on sale next month.
The U24E590D and U28E590D come in at 24 inch and 28 inch respectively with 4K Ultra HD 3,840×2,160 pixel resolution and 370cd/m2 brightness with support for 60 Hz frequency. Both monitors feature Game Mode technology, 1000:1 contrast ratiom, HDMI 2.0, an HDMI 1.0 port and a DisplayPort 1.2.
The U28E590D UHD monitor also has a TN panel with 1ms response time and 16.7 million colors whereas the 24 inch model has a PLS panel with 4ms response time.
The AMD’s FreeSync technology synchronizes the monitors’ refresh rates in order to mitigate large jumps in the frame time which results in a much more smoother viewing experience.
Gamers will enjoy and appreciate the AMD’s FreeSync technology where there is increase in responsiveness as well as the elimination of shuttering and screen tear.
Samsung U24E590D will go on sale in the United States starting July 26th for $399.99, the U28E590D is readily available for purchase and it carries a price tag of $599.99.
