Tech giant Samsung has announced the date for its annual Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event. The first 2023 edition will take place on the 1st of February.
The company is expected to launch the Samsung Galaxy S23 series at the first in-person Unpacked event in the last three years. Previous editions have been held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown restrictions.
Not much is definite about the S23 series to be launched but we know we will still have the S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra like the S22 series launched last year on the 9th of February.
Some of the features expected are:
- a 200MP camera for the S23 Ultra to replace the 108MP camera for the S22 Ultra. This could be in line with Samsung’s 200-megapixel sensor series launched in October 2022;
- ditching Samsung’s Exynos chips to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC to power all the Galaxy S23 devices;
- leak showing four colours (green, black, pink, and white) for the Galaxy S23 Ultra and three colours for the Galaxy S23 (black, gray and pink)
Samsung is letting customers reserve the new flagship device without hearing about it in exchange for $50 of Samsung Store credit
The event will take place in San Francisco at 19:00 hrs (WAT). The event will be streamed live Samsung.com and Samsung YouTube channel
