Samsung Electronics and Global Enterprise Mobility Alliance (GEMA) have announced a global partnership in form of a global independent joint venture that would provide enterprise mobility managed services to multinational organisations

According to the terms of the agreement, all current and prospective GEMA Alliance members, and Samsung KNOX Platinum partners will now be authorized to resell Samsung products in their respective territories, including Samsung KNOX-enabled mobile devices.

The partnership covers provision of Samsung Care services, professional services and joint sales and marketing activities globally in the coming months.

GEMA’s CEO, Nicholas McQuire said: “As GEMA continues to rapidly expand our member footprint and provide unique in-country enterprise mobility services to global firms, our exciting partnership with Samsung will help our customers and prospects achieve greater value from mobility in their firms and enable our members to continue to provide best-in-class local services in their countries of focus as well.”

“As the pace of consumerisation of IT continues to accelerate worldwide, we look forward to growing our partnership with Samsung across the GEMA footprint to help multinationals further place Samsung technology and Android at the heart of their mobility strategies,” he added.

GEMA’s Chairman and CEO, Kris Snyder, said: “GEMA was founded to address clear gaps in global enterprise mobility market that historic business models cannot address. As a founding member, Vox Mobile represents the North American territory for GEMA and it is our customer demand for secure android mobile computing that compels and excites us into this strategic partnership.”

CEO of NationSky, GEMA’s Chinese founding member, Kris Snyder, added: “As a founding member of GEMA, we are pleased that Samsung has chosen to work with the GEMA alliance. Samsung is already highly recognised in the market of China, and today Chinese enterprise customers see great demand for a mobile security solution just like Knox.”

We really look forward to working closely with Samsung KNOX in China, and firmly believe that Samsung Knox + NQSky MDM, as a comprehensive mobile security solution, will meet the demand and capture the heart of enterprise customers in China,” he added.

Vice President of Europe Telecommunications Operations at Samsung Electronics Europe, Rob Orr, said: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with GEMA and look forward to combining their expertise, capabilities and reach to serve millions of public sector and enterprise customers worldwide.”
