Yes! Samsung has confirmed that it will launch a Galaxy Z Fold3 with S Pen support. Some of us have complained that the Z Fold and Z Fold2 should have come with S Pen support as it seems incomplete without a Pen.
According to Dr. TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics in a blog post about the upcoming Galaxy unpacked event on the 11th of August, “We are out to set new heights and open up a whole new world of exciting experiences for even more people. I hope you’ll join us as we debut our next Galaxy Z family and share some foldable surprises — including the first-ever S Pen designed specifically for foldable phones.”
A couple of days ago, 91mobiles had stated that it obtained renders of the Samsung S Pen case for the Galaxy Z Fold3. The renders confirmed the S Pen support for the Galaxy Fold3 and also revealed the design of the Samsung S Pen case for the smartphone.
According to poster leaked by evleaks, the Z Fold3 would come with 2 optional S-Pens (Pro and Fold Edition)
The Samsung President also said in the same blog post that the it will not be unveiling a new Galaxy Note. In his own words, “Instead of unveiling a new Galaxy Note this time around, we will further broaden beloved Note features to more Samsung Galaxy devices.”
This may mean that Samsung may be phasing out the Note series for the Z Fold series.
Samsung’s next Unpacked product event, tagged “Get Ready To Unfold” is scheduled to take place on the 11th of August at 10AM ET / 7AM PT/ 2PM GMT respectively.
