It seems Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the new bride as technology companies are making efforts to launch their own AI. Google launched its AI-powered system that works via its smartphones while Amazon recently unveiled its Echo Speaker powered by the AI assistant Alexa.
Today, Samsung announced that it is acquiring Viv, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistant company established by the developers of Apple’s Siri for an undisclosed fee.
This is the fifth company the South Korean based firm has acquired in less than two years to explore new areas of growth like AI and payments.
“Viv is an artificial intelligence platform that enables developers to distribute their products through an intelligent, conversational interface. It’s the simplest way for the world to interact with devices, services and things everywhere. Viv is taught by the world, knows more than it is taught, and learns every day.”
