The Nigerian fintech enterprise Regxta has emerged victorious in the latest iteration of the Pitch2Win competition, securing a substantial reward of US$10,000 in funding without any equity requirements. Additionally, the startup has earned a fully-funded opportunity to attend IVS2024 in Kyoto, which is recognized as Japan’s premier conference for startups.
The competition, known as Pitch2Win, is an initiative spearheaded by Techcircle and supported by a partnership with Freakout, SGverse, and SGgrow. The event’s fourth annual edition took place on June 12, featuring a lineup of 15 innovative startups. These contenders presented their business concepts before a panel comprising distinguished judges and investors.
Among the competitors, Regxta stood out and clinched the top spot. The company was established in 2021 by the entrepreneurial trio of Rukayat Bello, Afis Bello, and Moses Obika. Regxta’s mission is to bridge the financial inclusion gap by providing a user-friendly digital platform. This platform is designed to facilitate convenient and rapid access to financial services for those without traditional banking support, specifically targeting individuals and small-scale businesses in rural and semi-urban areas throughout Africa.
Another notable achievement at the event was the “Sponsors’ Choice” award, which was bestowed upon Preggify, a startup specializing in pregnancy care services. Preggify also received the privilege of an all-expenses-paid trip to the IVS2024 conference in Kyoto, marking a significant recognition of their innovative approach to maternal care.
