Registration is currently on for Batch 2 of the global venture capital seed fund and US-based accelerator 500 Startups ‘MENA Dojo’ (Middle East and North Africa (MENA) based startups) Series A Program.

The programme is a late-seed stage program for companies gearing up for Series A fundraising.

In 2016, the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), a Doha-based private, chartered, nonprofit organisation signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with 500 Startups that will see the two organisations provide seed funding, training and mentorship to start-ups across the MENA region over the next five years.

As part of requirements it is expected that qualifying companies be post-seed, have achieved a strong product-market fit that is demonstrable by significant recurring revenues wherein the founders and teams can benefit from high intensity growth and distribution training in real-time.

The curriculum for the programme will be run by 500 Startups partners and mentors, arranged in 2 modules across a 6 week period with 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, and 2 weeks on culminating in Investor Day on May 10th.

Interestingly, participating companies will receive a $150,000 investment for 5% equity and be required to pay a $15,000 tuition fee for the program.

The Batch 2 begins in March; however, the location is yet to be announced.

    Application Period:
The application period begins January 1st, 2018 and runs through March 1st, 2018. Approximately 10 companies will be selected to participate in the batch.
