The eNigeria 2018 conference, exhibitions, and awards organized by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is scheduled to hold from 5th to 7th November 2018 at the Abuja International Conference Centre (AICC).
eNigeria Conference, exhibitions and awards is an annual international technology show with the objective of enabling stakeholders across Nigeria and around the world to discover new socio-economic development opportunities provided by an increasing advancement in technologies and innovation.
The eNigeria 2018 theme, “Promoting a Digital Economy in an Era of Disruptive Technologies Through Effective Regulations” is a response to the complex mix of digital opportunities, challenges, and burdens, driven by the increasing influence of emerging technologies on commerce and society. The major goal of eNigeria 2018 is to accelerate the development and access to digital products and services to millions of Nigerian citizens, ultimately creating Africa’s largest single digital market by 2020.
The key thematic areas for eNigeria 2018 are Digital Infrastructure, Sustainable Urbanization, Digital Inclusion, Cyber-Physical Space, Digital Government Services and Digital Job Creation.
Expert discussions and presentations will seek to discover linkages between the thematic areas and major technology influencers such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Big Data, Robotics, and Cloud Computing technologies. The technologies mentioned above, collectively referred to as emerging technologies, have upended many established business myths and practices across critical industries including transportation, security, healthcare, education, and agriculture.
The eNigeria 2018 will be declared open by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR at 11:30 AM on Monday, November 5, 2018.
The event will also feature Barr Abdur-Raheem Adebayo Shittu, Honourable Minister of Communications, Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, DG/CEO, NITDA, Keynote Speaker Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, pioneer Chairman, Economic, and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
