Realme wants to enhance its fast charging’ game, so the company revealed that the world’s quickest smartphone charging technology will be unveiled at this year’s Mobile World Congress. Here’s what we can anticipate from the business.
Realme’s New Fast Charging Tech
On February 28, the opening day of MWC 2022, the business will unveil its new fast-charging technology. The exhibition will be open till March 3rd. While Realme claims to have the fastest technology, we do not know what kind of fast charging it will support.
We do, however, have a hint. Realme is expected to unveil its 150W fast charging technology, which could include compatibility with Oppo’s 160W fast charger. There’s no information on how much faster it will be than the existing 120W quick charging technology. Although the technology is slower than Xiaomi’s 200W technology, you should be aware that it is still in the early stages of development.
Realme’s new technology will be paired with the 125W UltraDart fast charging system, which was first introduced two years ago. It claims to be able to charge a Realme phone by 33% in under 3 minutes. It, too, has yet to reach a commercial smartphone.
The new quick charging technique will be part of the company’s ‘Go Premium’ plan, which would see it invest 70% of its R&D resources in, among other things, innovative technologies. “The new charging method will break current limitations, allowing users to charge their devices in a considerably shorter amount of time,” Realme says.
Meanwhile, Realme confirmed at the recent Realme 9 Pro series launch event in India that the GT 2 series will be launched globally at MWC 2022. The flagship phone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor was first introduced in January of this year. We’ll have to wait a week to learn more about this quick charging technology.
