Read Mary Meeker Internet Trends 2017 Highlights and Report

As usual, Mary Meeker released the Internet Trends Report for 2017. The Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers partner released the 355 page report of where the internet stands in 2017 and what to expect in the near- to mid-term at the recently concluded Code Conference  in California.

Here are some of the highlights from the report.

• Global Internet Users = 3.4 billion …solid user growth but smartphone growth is slowing down
• There is a growth in online advertising driven by mobile
• 85% of online ad growth is controlled by Google and Facebook
• eSports growth is exploding and is challenging traditional sports
