Google I/O 2022 unveils the Pixel Watch
Rick Osterloh, Google’s SVP of Devices & Services, announced the Pixel Watch on stage at I/O 2022 in an attempt to develop a homegrown ecosystem of goods. He was photographed wearing the smartwatch. This is Google’s first wristwatch, and it features a round dome-like shape, a proprietary strap mechanism, and a horizontal array of sensors. Keep reading to learn about availability. Specifications and Features of the Pixel Watch (Confirmed and Rumored)
While Google didn’t reveal much about the Pixel Watch at the event, there have been countless leaks and rumors in the past. The official teaser confirms the rounded design and minimalist style that have been seen in recent real-life image leaks. The digital crown is on the right, while the side bezel below it has two interaction buttons.
Google has stated that the Pixel Watch will come pre-installed with Wear OS. In addition, the business confirmed that its initial wristwatch will include Fitbit connectivity, as previously reported (Google owns Fitbit). Continuous heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, and other health-related capabilities will be available on the watch.
Release Date Confirmed for Pixel Watch
Google revealed that its first wristwatch will come alongside the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro later this year while giving us a first look at the Pixel Watch. The business did not provide a precise release date, but stated that the Pixel 7 series will be available in the fall of 2022.
