    Partnership to bring digital hearing platform to smartphones

    Mimi Hearing Technologies, partners with Shenzhen Rillya Industries to bring its digital hearing health platform to smartphones. The hearing platform bridges the gap between the learning ability and the listening experience.

    Globally, more than 1 billion young adults are at the risk of preventable, permanent hearing loss as a result of unsafe listening practices, according to the World Health Organization. The statistic is huge in regions with low awareness of hearing health and those without screening programs. In the African continent, for instance, the number of people with some level of loss in hearing is expected to multiply by 2.5 times within the next few decades, from the current 136 million in 2021 to 332 million in 2050.

    Smartphones are now acting as the main platform for consumption of user audio, Mimi and a global leader in the design of mobile devices and development Shenzhen Rillya Industries are addressing the rate of growth of hearing loss related issues by providing Mimi’s digital hearing features on their new devices.

    Shenzhen Rillya Industries will integrate Mimi technology into its devices. The Mimi technology includes Sound personalization features and digital hearing testing to allow users to own their listening experience and remove the accessibility barriers related to loss of hearing. This results in a sound experience for users which includes reduced volume levels, improved sound quality, and restored audio details.

    The CEO of Mimi, Philipp Skribanowitz, said: “we are excited to be working with our first smartphone partner Shenzhen Rillya Industries to a lot of people to access Mimi’s hearing technology with easy-to-use hearing tests and loss compensation at their fingertips. The new collaboration will bring awareness of hearing health to new generations, allow users to take control of how they listen. Together, we can assist in driving the future of audio experience in smartphones for years to come.”

    The VP of Rillya, Bob Tao added that “Mimi is a great partner for Rillya. We hope to cooperate with Mimi to provide an easy method for our customers to reliable test their hearing and make an adjustment that results in a healthier listening experience. We are expanding our sales channel to reach more customers delivering Mimi’s technology and looking forward to collaborating in 2022 and beyond.”
